A selection of smoothie recipes with honey for every day occasions!
With winter around the corner and life generally getting busier again, it is key to fuel your body with a healthy and nutritious range of food. Quick smoothie recipes are an easy way to boost your immune system and energy.
We’ve put together four smoothie recipes that use honey. Why? Honey is a natural sweetener that will provide a sweet kick to your smoothie while keeping it healthy.
What's even better? Our Scottish heather honey is classified as a superfood as it’s an essential food source due to its high level of manganese (check out our blog on the groundbreaking research here). This means using our heather honey provides a whole range of benefits on top of the usual perks of packing fruit and veg into a smoothie!
Benefits of smoothie recipes with honey:
- Natural healing properties from its high antioxidant, antibacterial and antimicrobial properties
- Makes and activates enzymes in the body associated with protecting tissues from damage and in the metabolism of nutrients
- Maintains healthy bones
- Lessens the bitterness associated with leafy greens such as spinach or kale
Each recipe takes roughly 5 minutes to make so grab your jar of heather honey and your blender, and get blitzing!
